Finance Co-ordinator


TOM MARTIN is a British design studio specialising in bespoke, inside-painted glass decorations, working closely with leading hotels and heritage brands internationally. We are a small, growing studio where precision, craft and care matter at every stage of the process.

We are now looking for a Finance & Operations Coordinator with strong bookkeeping experience, who can confidently manage the day to day financial operations of the business and support the smooth running of the studio.

The role

You will take responsibility for the core financial administration of the Company, ensuring records are accurate, up to date and well organised. You will work closely with the founder and external accountants.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility over the companies accounting software.

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable

  • Raising and tracking invoices and purchase orders

  • Bank, card and balance reconciliations

  • Preparing information for VAT returns

  • Monitoring cash flow and maintaining clear financial records

  • Supporting month end reporting and year end processes

  • Liaising with external accountants

Experience & Skills

This role is bookkeeping led. Formal accounting qualifications are welcome but not essential.

Essential

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or finance administrator in a growing business

  • Strong, hands on experience using Xero

  • Confident managing invoices, payments, reconciliations and financial records

  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy

  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks

  • Strong organisational skills and a calm, methodical approach

Desirable

  • Experience working with international suppliers or multiple currencies

  • Familiarity with VAT processes

  • Experience working alongside external accountants

  • Exposure to stock, production or cost based businesses
